The story of Kurt S. Adler Inc. begins after the close of World War II when Mr. Adler tried his hand at exporting general goods. Business grew, and European economies flourished so he turned his focus to importing. Ornaments were offered by the 1950s, and beautiful, handmade angels from East and West Germany found an enthusiastic audience in America. Adler expanded the line to glass ornaments from Czechoslovakia, hanging ceiling decorations from Germany, and miniature lights from Italy.
The next decade, Adler started importing holiday decor from the Far East. Colorful snow globes and other animated items became a collector's favorite. In the 1980s and 90s, Fabriche Santas, nutcrackers and other collectibles were ushered in. Recent additions include animatronics, fiber optic trees, interactive advent calendars, and synchronized musical decorations.

I am pleased with my pencil tree. It arrived well packed and within the time frame I expected. I was only a little disappointed in the height. I expected it to be a little taller. The tree is 56 inches and has a single leader branch that stretches to the 5 feet. Other than that it is very narrow, which is what I wanted and is very light about 11lbs in the box. It will be very easy for me to manage. My other tree was 7 feet tall and too heavy to handle. The led lights are well hidden and the over all appearance of the the tree is very good. If you're looking for a small, but not too small, easy to manage tree, this is it.
