Vanderbilt Full Pre-lit Christmas Tree

A recent study shows that 99% of all holiday stress can be attributed to tangled knots of Christmas lights. No matter how nicely we put them away, they spend their time in storage twisting, turning, and transforming themselves into frustrating balls of torture. So we think that whoever invented the pre-lit Christmas tree should be nominated for a Nobel Prize in Yuletide Cheer. And the Kurt S. Adler Vanderbilt Tree couldn't be pre-lit more beautifully. With perfectly-placed lights, realistic foliage, and a full shape, it's even better than the real thing. We just choose a 6.5- or a 7.5-foot tree and then move on to the fun stuff: where to put all our favorite decorations. With the hard part taken care of, we'll just have to find something else to stress about this holiday season.

The story of Kurt S. Adler Inc. begins after the close of World War II when Mr. Adler tried his hand at exporting general goods. Business grew, and European economies flourished so he turned his focus to importing. Ornaments were offered by the 1950s, and beautiful, handmade angels from East and West Germany found an enthusiastic audience in America. Adler expanded the line to glass ornaments from Czechoslovakia, hanging ceiling decorations from Germany, and miniature lights from Italy.

The next decade, Adler started importing holiday decor from the Far East. Colorful snow globes and other animated items became a collector's favorite. Recent additions include animatronics, fiber optic trees, interactive advent calendars, and synchronized musical decorations.
