The stand appeared a bit rusty upon opening the package, in fact my first thoughts were that I got a refurbished tree because of this. This tree is gorgeous, however the flock is extremely messy during the fluff process as well as while placing lights on the tree. It's a keeper because it would be too cumbersome to send back to the company. I didn't know how messy a flocked tree would be. I would definitely consider the messy aspect of owning a heavily flocked tree especially if you have animals that try to eat the flock as it can make them very ill. Only two of the wire pine needles (about 6" in length fell off). Other than that it's a beautiful 10' tree I'm certain our family will for years.

This is the perfect size and was easy to put together. It came with no lights but I had so much fun decorating my own way. My husband is Jewish so I made it a pretty blue theme.
